Angela Strickland practices in the areas of product liability and personal injury defense, with a focus on the defense of automotive and other products, both consumer and industrial, as well as nationally coordinated discovery and eDiscovery in products cases. Angela also maintains a practice representing clients in commercial, business litigation and toxic tort matters. Angela is active in all aspects of her clients' cases and has defended them across the country.
In the automotive arena, Angela has handled matters claiming alleged product defects involving airbags, seat belts, unintended acceleration, handling and stability, and post-collision fuel-fed fires issues. Angela currently serves on the national discovery team for a major automotive manufacturer, representing the client on coordinated discovery and eDiscovery issues. In addition to her work for automotive clients, Angela has also handled matters for forklift and conveyor system manufacturers.
In her business litigation practice, Angela has represented clients in a variety of class actions and commercial litigation. These cases have involved complex contractual, warranty, toxic tort and intellectual property disputes.
Angela is an active member of the American Bar Association, South Carolina Bar Association, South Carolina Defense Trial Attorney Association, Richland County Bar Association, and South Carolina Women Lawyers Association. She is a graduate of the South Carolina Bar Leadership Academy and Leadership Columbia. She is serving as co-chair of the Women in Product Liability subcommittee of the litigation section of the American Bar Association. Angela is also a 2015 Fellow for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity.
