Elaine Adam focuses her practice on defending automotive manufacturers in product liability and consumer actions. Elaine works extensively defending corporate clients in complex discovery matters and serves as national discovery counsel for a major automobile manufacturer. She has handled all aspects of case management, law and motion and has significant experience in discovery management including, collecting, processing and producing hard copy documents and electronically stored information, as well as handling all aspects of written discovery and discovery motion practice. She is well versed in all aspects of litigation holds and counsels clients on document retention issues.
Her prior experience includes representing large insurance clients in coverage matters and bad faith litigation. Her analytical abilities and written advocacy skills serve as valuable assets when arguing for case dismissals via summary judgment. She has also handled many appellate matters in her prior insurance practice.
Elaine has served as General Counsel for Makita U.S.A. and as Managing Attorney for United States Fidelity and Guaranty. She began her career managing All-Terrain Vehicle litigation for the Honda companies. During law school, Elaine served as an extern to the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office, Consumer Protection Division.
