Barb Ell has been with Bowman and Brooke for 25 years and serves as the Director of Human Resources. As part of the Human Resources team, her responsibilities include creating and directing the firm's policies, plans and programs to meet core objectives; coaching the firm's leadership team regarding effective management and communication skills; administering firm-wide benefit programs; developing and implementing new compensation strategies; and, recruitment and retention.
Barb's progressive approach to recruitment for all fifteen of the firm's offices including staff, paraprofessional and non-partner hires drives tangible results. She diligently ensures recruitment is an engaging process that involves guiding applicants through the hiring process, benefits offerings and new hire orientation. Barb feels it is critical to capture the firm's history, culture and core values throughout recruiting efforts.
In 2011, Barb received the firm's "Best in Class" award, an honor bestowed annually to an individual who repeatedly performs at the top of their game.
A proud North Dakotan, Barb enjoys spending time with friends and family.
