Michael Everett is dedicated to defending clients in product liability disputes, complex commercial litigation matters and discovery-related motions.
Skilled in legal research and writing, Michael spent two years on Mitchell Hamline Law Review and has experience drafting and editing memorandum orders on variety of civil cases as well as writing on complex matters including appeals, asylum claims, commercial disputes, constitutional law, contracts, voting rights and settlement. Michael is adept at analyzing and summarizing key policy and legislative decisions as result of his experience across judicial and governmental contexts.
He has a distinguished background in judicial and legislative service. Before coming to Bowman and Brooke, Michael clerked for the Honorable Patrick Diamond in the Ramsey County District Court. In law school, Michael served as one of Senator Amy Klobuchar’s full time law clerks on the U.S. Judiciary Committee where he worked on the nomination of Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar and more than one hundred nominees (in addition to a variety of high-profile and high stakes matters) before the Committee. Michael’s previous roles in policy and advocacy exposed him to the policy-making process and the practical application of legal principles, allowing his knowledge to translate seamlessly into effective client representation and solidifying his commitment to advocating for clients in complex legal matters.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys sailing on Lake Harriet, cooking, cross-country skiing in the BWCA and landscape and architectural photography.
