Frank Hosley is a first chair trial attorney with nearly 30 years of experience defending many top automotive and recreational vehicle manufacturers in high exposure product liability cases. He has earned the role of national trial counsel for major manufacturers of motor vehicles, all-terrain vehicles, motorcycles, personal watercraft, boat engines and fuel system components, forklifts, wheelchair lifts and power tools in matters ranging from catastrophic injury to wrongful death.

Concentrating on the defense of products, Frank’s understanding of how equipment is designed, manufactured and operated, combined with his knowledge of legal defenses have proven to be valuable at trial and when vying for summary judgment. He has experience working with engineering experts to prepare cases for trial with winning themes. He understands the design process and directs each critical step of the defense story from the discovery process to preparation of corporate witnesses for deposition and trial. He has worked with numerous company engineers to provide testimony to explain their company’s commitment to providing safe, reliable products.

Frank is called upon as trial counsel by many of the world’s largest manufacturers including Honda, Toyota, Yamaha, Ford, Kia, Makita, Kawasaki and Arctic Cat. In recent years, he has tried high-stakes product liability cases, which involved alleged defects in a miter saw causing severe injuries, alleged defects in the fuel system of a boat causing an explosion with severe injuries and death and a motorcycle crash involving a catastrophic injury. He also successfully defended a boat engine manufacturer in a wrongful death case involving carbon monoxide exposure and a motor vehicle manufacturer in a catastrophic injury case alleging a roof defect.

He is a highly sought-after attorney whose experience goes beyond defending the integrity of products. Over the years, his practice has diversified to include a niche in defending theme park attractions, rides and park safety, as well as representing companies in high-exposure commercial transportation and premises liability cases.
