With over a decade of experience, John Garrett concentrates his practice on product liability litigation within the life sciences industries. John focuses on the efficient and strategic management of cases through trial for national medical device and pharmaceutical manufacturers in individual and coordinated proceedings.
John has considerable experience in eDiscovery and has managed large-scale electronic productions in mass tort litigation with a deep understanding of the processes required to identify, collect and review electronic data. John has worked on many discovery and document production issues including part of national teams responsible for company documents in several mass torts. John has directed and managed depositions for national pharmaceutical manufacturers in mass tort litigation, including the preparation of company witnesses and sales representatives. Clients look to John for his experience in developing corporate defense strategies and evaluating complex medical, legal, and scientific matters including discovery issues.
In addition to his primary practice in the life sciences space, John continues to manage automotive warranty and automotive / ATV dealer-related litigation, consumer finance matters, and various environmental and toxic tort matters on a local and national level. His litigation experience in these practice areas extends from case work-up to appeals, and includes depositions, expert discovery, dispositive and Daubert motions, mediation, trial preparation and trial.
Outside of his practice, John serves as the President of the Belterra Marlins Swim Team and coaches his children in youth sports.
