Adam Masin has a national litigation practice that includes more than 20 years of experience defending clients in the pharmaceutical, medical device and healthcare industries in high-exposure product liability and complex commercial litigation.

His practice focuses on representing global pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers in multidistrict litigation, consolidated state court proceedings and individual lawsuits in federal and state courts around the country. As part of national counsel and trial counsel teams, he has litigated hundreds of these cases at every stage, from risk assessments before the first case is filed through discovery, Daubert hearings, dispositive motions, jury trials and appeals. He regularly collaborates with C-suite executives and top medical, scientific and industry experts to develop strong liability and causation defenses. Adam’s trial experience includes numerous trials to verdict in New York and Philadelphia. His appellate work includes the Second Circuit, Sixth Circuit and many State appellate courts. He has also first chaired complex commercial arbitration trials in New York and California.

Adam’s broad medical and life sciences related litigation experience include contract claims, professional liability defense, and a wide range of medical specialties including neonatology, cardiology, oncology, urogynecology, orthopedics, hematology and neuropsychology. In addition to pharmaceuticals and medical devices, he has also defended product manufacturers and world-renowned health care clients in cases involving asbestos, chemicals, motor vehicles, elevators, consumer products, probiotics, natural gas and alternative energy.

Since 2019, Adam has proudly served on the Board of Directors of NEC Society, the leading 501(c)(3) dedicated to the neonatal disease necrotizing enterocolitis. He regularly presents with nationally recognized physicians on the intersection of medical and legal issues. Outside the office, Adam enjoys traveling with his family in Brazil, supporting the USMNT and seeing Broadway shows with his two theater-loving kids.
