Colton Parks defends companies in complex litigation from case inception through trial and settlement. He focuses his practice on cases that involve claims of product liability, commercial and consumer litigation and personal injury matters. He primarily defends product manufacturers and technology companies in high-stakes catastrophic injury cases. Colton has represented clients in both state and federal courts throughout California, defending companies that manufacture such products as automobile engines, electric motors, elevator electronic control systems, electrical inverters and exercise equipment. He also has experience defending manufacturers and distributors of products from false advertising and fraud or misrepresentation claims.
Colton regularly handles all aspects of litigation, including drafting and arguing dispositive motions, discovery motions and trial preparation. He was a key member of a trial team that represented a major automobile manufacturer against claims of product defect in which the plaintiff sought a multimillion-dollar award. At trial, Colton agued motions and examined witnesses. He also served as co-second chair in a product-liability matter in which he assisted with jury selection.
He has extensive experience working with technical experts, including elevator engineers, electrical engineers, neurologists, neuroradiologists, psychologists, psychiatrists, neuropsychiatrists, cardiologists and orthopedic experts.
