Minneapolis Associate Carly Stephani was recently named as a 2017 "Up & Coming Attorney" by Minnesota Lawyer magazine. She is among the local lawyers recognized for professional achievements and leadership service to the community in their early years of practice.
Since joining Bowman and Brooke in 2011, Carly has excelled in her product liability defense practice, spending much of her time defending Fortune 500 and other companies in claims involving off-road vehicles, industrial chemicals, vaginal mesh, implantable cardiac devices, and industrial engines. She is consistently recognized for her quick, thorough, and efficient investigation of claims and lawsuits.
A characteristic that sets her apart from her peers is her commitment to understanding cases in full detail. She genuinely has a passion for digging into the engineering and scientific principles required to understand her clients’ products and how they work and to fluently converse with her clients, opposing counsel, opposing experts, judges, and mediators. She works closely and frequently with many in-house and outside technical experts such as electrical engineers, fire investigators, accident reconstructionists, and metallurgists. Her keen understanding of her clients’ businesses and their priorities, paired with the strong relationship she builds with experts, allows her to adapt her strategy to maximize case results for her clients.
