Bowman and Brooke Named a 2017 "Product Liability Group of the Year" by Law360
Bowman and Brooke is pleased to announce that it has been named a 2017 “Product Liability Group of the Year” by Law360. This marks the eighth time the firm has received this distinction in the past nine years. Recognizing landmark matters and general excellence, Law360 selected 176 winning groups across 35 practice areas. The Practice Groups of the Year hailed from 80 law firms and rose to the top of 747 submissions.
The nearly 200-attorney product liability defense firm was recognized for defending "clients within a range of industries in cases spanning warranty matters and sprawling multidistrict litigation."
"When you do something for as long as we've defended product cases, you get really good at it," firm Chair Paul Cereghini said.
Bowman and Brooke currently serves as lead counsel on behalf of Honda Motor Company in litigation over vehicles equipped with Takata Corp. airbags that present an explosion risk. The firm also defends BMW against Takata-related allegations, with Detroit Managing Partner, Thomas Branigan, and his team, leading related litigation. Of additional note, the firm serves as counsel for helmet-maker Riddell Inc. in multidistrict litigation against allegations by former professional, collegiate and high school players who allege the helmets don't protect against brain injuries.
"One thing that's common across all these cases is clients want resolutions," Cereghini said. "They want favorable resolutions, and they want to obtain them efficiently and cost effectively."
