Bowman and Brooke is pleased to announce that Yesenia Cárdenas has been named a Top Latino Lawyer by the national publication, Latino Leaders magazine. These successful lawyers are leaders in their profession and are involved and give back to the Latino community. These leaders were selected following a nationwide search, with more than 200 nominations received.
An established litigator and trial attorney, Cárdenas, has long been an active leader in the Latino community and beyond. She was recently recognized as a Women in Business Honoree by the Dallas Business Journal, and in September 2018, she received the Dallas Top 50 Women Lawyers Award presented by the Texas Diversity Council. Cárdenas is a 2018 Fellow with the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, an organization of corporate law department and law firm leaders dedicated to creating a truly diverse U.S. legal profession. Since 2009 Yesenia has been an active member of the Dallas Hispanic Bar Association, currently serving as Vice President. She was formerly on the Board of Directors for the Texas Mexican-American Bar Association and is a member of the National Hispanic Bar Association. She is licensed to practice law in Texas and Oklahoma and admitted in four U.S. District Courts.
Cárdenas graduated cum laude from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law with a J.D. in 2005 and received B.B.A. and B.A. undergraduate degrees from Southern Methodist University in 2001.
