Bowman and Brooke is proud to announce that the firm was chosen to receive the 2015 Distinguished Service Award by the Children's Law Center of Minnesota (CLC), and was honored with the award at the center's 20th anniversary celebration and benefit on October 8 at Windows on Minnesota.
Bowman and Brooke is very proud to announce this honor and to recognize the seven attorneys at the firm who have volunteered and dedicated their time and services to help children who might otherwise be at serious risk of homelessness, or face other extremely challenging circumstances in their lives. Those attorneys are: Sheryl Bjork, Michael Carey, Jenny Covington, Molly Given, Barry Koopmann and Douglas Pfeifer.
In a letter sent to Minneapolis Executive Managing Partner, Kim Schmid, the CLC stated "[d]edication to CLC and our child clients is the reason [Bowman and Brooke] was selected for this award. Bowman and Brooke attorneys who volunteer for CLC demonstrate a commitment that goes beyond the ordinary pro bono service. We recognize that the full backing and support of their colleagues at the firm is a very large part of what makes this possible."
