Congratulations to New Brunswick Associate Jacqueline S. Peña! She been installed as the 44th President of the Hispanic Bar Association - New Jersey (HBA-NJ). New Jersey Supreme Court Justice Michael Noriega officiated the swearing-in of the NJHBA's 2023 – 2024 Board, followed by New Jersey Superior Court Judge Jaclyn V. Medina administering the oath to Jacky.
The event was attended by 350 leaders from New Jersey's business, legal, and political communities, including State Senators, Federal Judges and NJ Supreme Court Justices. Notably, the gathering included the President of the National Hispanic Bar Association, the President of the NJ State Bar Association, heads of major national law firms and legal counsels from prominent Fortune 500 companies.
Adding to the significance of the occasion, students from Passaic HS involved in the HBA-NJ's "Pipeline to Success" program were present, embodying the initiative's success in fostering educational opportunities for first-generation college attendees.
The event also celebrated a landmark achievement of the Pipeline Program—graduating its first law student in 2023.
