His broad experience makes him well-versed in all aspects of pre-suit consultation, investigation, motion practice, discovery, alternative dispute resolution, trial and appeal. Throughout his career, Dan has dived into complex issues, from difficult legal doctrines to intricate technical details. He has successfully employed threshold legal defenses, spearheaded investigative efforts, worked closely with clients to respond to discovery, deposed and defended many technical witnesses and achieved summary dispositions.
Dan has been devoted to learning the history and technical details of his clients’ products and services to optimize his consultation and defense efforts. He is passionate about the legal implications of emerging technologies including AI, driver assistance, and automated driving technologies, and has drawn on his litigation experience and his analytical skills to guide his clients on emerging trends and topics.
Owing to his background in physics and astronomy, Dan is also a licensed patent attorney. Before entering the legal profession, Dan worked with the University of Chicago and NASA developing instrumentation that was used on an airborne observatory and proposals for the James Webb Space Telescope.
Dan and his wife have two children and two dogs. He enjoys travelling with his family and supporting and coaching his children in their athletic and scholastic endeavors.
