Additionally, Suzanne L. Kersh and Gregory J. Mroz from our Orlando office, along with Carolina S. Piñero and Daniel A. Rock in Miami, have been promoted to Senior Counsel after being nominated and elected this fall.
Daniel B. Goldman concentrates his practice on the defense of product liability litigation for Fortune 500 clients throughout the country across industries, including automotive, consumer product, and medical device manufacturers. His ability to effectively communicate with clients, general counsel, opposing counsel and co-counsel make him an invaluable asset to any trial team.
Brandon M. Pellegrino defends Global 500 companies in product liability litigation throughout the country. He also has extensive experience defending allegations related to automobile negligence, commercial, complex construction and insurance matters. Brandon is a key strategist for each case team he is a member of and a thought leader in the e-discovery field, writing on topics related to document preservation and production.
Shannon L.H. Phillips is a seasoned litigator who counsels multinational businesses in complex commercial, product liability, business tort, consumer warranty, and insurance coverage litigation, including class actions and multidistrict litigation. She handles all aspects of case management, including advising on pre-litigation risk and assessment, developing case strategy, implementing written and eDiscovery practices and procedures, conducting depositions, expert witness management, complex motion practice including discovery and dispositive motions, settlement negotiations and appellate briefing.
Jonathan L. Smith is a commercial litigator whose practice centers on the representation of original equipment manufacturers in distribution and franchise matters and the defense of product liability claims against pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers. Although Jon strives to develop solutions to avoid litigation, when the courtroom is unavoidable, he couples his knowledge of the relevant legislative and regulatory schemes with his litigation experience while representing clients in state and federal court and before various administrative agencies.
Suzanne L. Kersh is a trial attorney focused on defending clients in toxic tort, product liability, general liability, and premises liability litigation including theme park attractions, rides, and park safety. Suzanne is experienced in handling commercial and warranty actions on behalf of automobile manufacturers and has represented manufacturers in arbitration before the Florida New Motor Vehicle Arbitration Board.
Gregory J. Mroz focuses his practice on defending clients in product liability litigation throughout the United States. Additionally, he represents clients in the areas of toxic tort, warranty, and commercial litigation. He has served as lead counsel in multiple mediations and Lemon Law arbitration hearings. Gregory also handles discovery, including written discovery, preparing expert reports, and taking plaintiff, fact witness and expert depositions.
Carolina S. Piñero advises clients in premises liability disputes, product liability litigation, municipal law, and cargo claims. She represents products manufacturers, police officers and municipalities, national retailers, major real estate developers and cargo brokers. Her practice includes litigating cases in State and Federal civil court in Florida. Carolina also has experience working with local counsel in Puerto Rico to defend product manufacturers in pending litigation and arbitrating personal injury disputes and cargo claims before the American Arbitration Association.
Daniel A. Rock is a skilled writer and orator in the firm’s Appellate and Advanced Motions practice group, who focuses on resolving his clients’ most complex legal challenges both at trial and on appeal. Whether it is an appeal from a pre-trial order, a discovery order, or a final judgment after trial, Daniel is involved in the appellate process from beginning to end. He has drafted briefs in almost every appellate court in Florida, including the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the Florida Supreme Court.
