Al Silva is a seasoned trial attorney who defends manufacturers in complex product liability litigation. He has more than 35 years of experience in litigation and trial work, including criminal matters and representing automobile, bus, and truck manufacturers in lawsuits involving product liability, negligence, wrongful death, breach of contract, breach of warranty, DTPA and fraud claims. Al has handled individual and mass tort and criminal cases from inception through verdict, settlement and appeal in federal and state courts, including litigation in more than 15 states and 35 jury trials in Texas and California.
In his spare time, Al enjoys reading (novels, sci-fi, fantasy, mystery and police procedurals, adventure, history, biographies), movies, enjoying haute cuisine and playing board games. He also loves listening to music (American songbook, classical, country, hip-hop, Latin, jazz, musicals, opera, pop, rock, R&B and trip-hop), especially favorite musicians Miles Davis, Paul McCartney and Prince. He has enjoyed tracking and autocross (using his Porsche Cayman XR) and travel, especially to Paris, and he obsesses about politics.
