David Campbell’s cross-border practice is focused on product liability and commercial litigation. David has a wealth of trial experience, and often assists his corporate clients with national and regional coordination of their litigation matters.
A true international lawyer, David is licensed as a barrister and solicitor with the Law Society of Ontario, where he serves as counsel of record in complex Canadian litigation pending from British Columbia to Nova Scotia. With a proven record of effective advocacy across North America, David has extensive experience defending product liability lawsuits involving industrial machinery, consumer and recreational products, motor vehicles, building materials, foods and supplements, and medical devices. David also has considerable franchise litigation experience, and has prosecuted and defended complex commercial disputes, including breach of contract claims, for clients on both sides of the border.
Through his efforts as a judicial intern for the Michigan Supreme Court, and a law clerk for the Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission, David's litigation savvy is complemented by a strong understanding of the appellate realm and professional ethics.
With a passion for community service, David is legal counsel to his local chamber of commerce, provides legal and regulatory support to an international charity focused on rescuing orphans and at-risk children, and is an active volunteer with Scouts Canada. In addition to his pro bono work, David is a prolific grant writer, who has helped raise more than $100,000 for community based non-profits. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Harrow Family Health Team. Outside the courtroom, David is an adjunct professor at the University of Detroit Mercy and University of Windsor, teaching tort law. David is married to his college sweetheart, a veterinarian, and has three young children.
